Training Objectives::

• Train operators in the safe use and control of overhead/EOT cranes.
• Teach daily inspection, load handling, and emergency response procedures
• Reduce risk of accidents, equipment damage, and workplace injuries
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO, and company-specific safety standards

Module 2: Crane Components and Functions

• Hoist, trolley, bridge, end trucks
• Limit switches, controls, pendant and remote systems
• Hook inspection and safety latches

Module 3: Pre-Operational Inspection

• Daily checklist overview
• Electrical system, wire rope, brakes, indicators
• Reporting and tagging out unsafe cranes

Module 4: Safe Lifting Operations

• Load rating and center of gravity
• Sling types and configurations
• Weather and overhead obstructions
• Spotting, signaling, and communication

Module 5: Operational Hazards

• Side pulling, overloading, swing control
• Avoiding pinch points and pedestrian risks
• Weather and overhead obstructions

Module 6: Emergency Procedures

• Power failure, mechanical failure
• Emergency stop protocols
• Incident reporting

Module 7: Practical Assessment (Onsite Option)

• Pre-start inspection demo
• Simulated lifts, direction changes, and stop/start control
• Safe shutdown and securing the crane

• Written test (theory)
