Module 3: Pre-Operational Inspection

  • Daily checklist overview
  • Electrical system, wire rope, brakes, indicators
  • Reporting and tagging out unsafe cranes

Module 4: Safe Lifting Operations

  • Load rating and center of gravity
  • Sling types and configurations
  • Weather and overhead obstructions
  • Spotting, signaling, and communication

Module 5: Operational Hazards

  • Side pulling, overloading, swing control
  • Avoiding pinch points and pedestrian risks
  • Weather and overhead obstructions

Module 6: Emergency Procedures

  • Power failure, mechanical failure
  • Emergency stop protocols
  • Incident reporting

Module 7: Practical Assessment (Onsite Option)

  • Pre-start inspection demo
  • Simulated lifts, direction changes, and stop/start control
  • Safe shutdown and securing the crane

Assessment & Certification:

  • Written test (theory)
  • Practical assessment (skills demonstration)
