- Policy, planning, implementation, monitoring, and review

3. Risk Assessment and Control
- Identifying hazards
- Using risk matrices
- Applying the hierarchy of control
4. Common Workplace Hazards
- Manual handling
- Slips, trips, and falls
- Working at height
- Fire and electrical safety
- Hazardous substances (COSHH overview)
- Workplace transport
5. Incident Investigation and Emergency Procedures
- Reporting procedures (RIDDOR in UK context)
- First aid requirements
- Evacuation planning
Assessment Method:
- Multiple-Choice Exam: 60 minutes
- Pass Mark: 60%
- Conducted in a controlled, invigilated environment (onsite or remote)
Certification:
- Successful learners receive the Highfield Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in
the Workplace (RQF) certificate - Valid for 3 years (recommended refresher or higher qualification thereafter)
