Unit 3: Equipment and Safety Systems

  • Types of equipment: ladders, scaffolding, MEWPs, platforms
  • Fall prevention vs. fall arrest systems
  • PPE selection, usage, and maintenance

Unit 4: Safe Working Practices

  • Planning and supervising work at height
  • Permit to work systems
  • Inspection and record keeping
  • Common causes of falls and how to avoid them

Unit 5: Emergency Procedures

    • Incident response and rescue planning
    • Suspension trauma basics
    • Roles and responsibilities during a fall-related emergency

Assessment Method:

  • Written Exam: Multiple-choice (duration: 30–45 minutes)
  • Pass Mark: Typically 60% or higher
  • Optional: Practical observation (if training delivered onsite)
