Module 2: Legal Responsibilities and Safety Standards

  • Overview of OSHA / IEC / NFPA 70E / local electrical codes
  • Employer and employee duties
  • Workplace rescue planning

Module 3: Electrical Rescue Planning

  • Roles of the rescuer and observer
  • Risk assessment and scene safety
  • Required PPE and rescue equipment

Module 4: Rescue Techniques

  • Assessing the scene and isolating the power source
  • Safe approach distances
  • Removing victim using insulated tools or rescue hook
  • Emergency medical actions after rescue

Module 5: Post-Rescue Protocols

  • Performing CPR and treating burns (basic first aid overview)
  • Reporting and documentation
  • Post-incident debrief and lessons learned

Optional Practical Session (Onsite Only):

  • Simulated electrical rescue scenario
  • Use of rescue hook and insulated gloves
  • CPR demonstration and hands-on drill
