Training Objectives::

• Equip participants with the skills to safely rescue a person from live electrical
  contact
• Understand the risks of electric shock, arc flash, and electrocution
• Learn how to isolate, secure, and respond to electrical incidents
• Comply with national safety standards and workplace emergency protocols

• Identify the causes and effects of electrical incidents
• Safely remove a person from an electrical hazard using proper tools and
  procedures
• Administer CPR and first aid for electrical injuries

Module 1: Understanding Electrical Hazards

• Types of electrical injuries (shock, arc flash, burns)
• Voltage levels and human body sensitivity
• Real-world incident examples and case studies

Module 2: Legal Responsibilities and Safety Standards

• Overview of OSHA / IEC / NFPA 70E / local electrical codes
• Employer and employee duties
• Workplace rescue planning

Module 3: Electrical Rescue Planning

• Roles of the rescuer and observer
• Risk assessment and scene safety
• Required PPE and rescue equipment

Module 4: Rescue Techniques

• Assessing the scene and isolating the power source
• Safe approach distances
• Removing victim using insulated tools or rescue hook
• Emergency medical actions after rescue

Module 5: Post-Rescue Protocols

• Performing CPR and treating burns (basic first aid overview)
• Reporting and documentation
• Post-incident debrief and lessons learned

Optional Practical Session (Onsite Only):

• Simulated electrical rescue scenario
• Use of rescue hook and insulated gloves
• CPR demonstration and hands-on drill

Assessment & Certification:

• Theory quiz or scenario-based assessment
