What is Defensive Driving?

Driving Defensively, essentially means using different driving strategies that allow the driver to identify, prioritize and deal with the hazards on the road in a way that is safe, methodical and leaves nothing to chance. Defensive Driving promotes careful observation, early anticipation and a systematic approach to using the vehicle controls that maximizes stability.

Who Can Take This Course?

Anyone with a current, valid UAE Driving License who drives as part of their work can take the course.

1. ROSPA Level 2 Award in Defensive Driver Training

The ROSPA Level 2 Award in Defensive Driving (International) aims to develop the driver’s knowledge of the causes of work-related driving incidents and provide them with the skills and knowledge to reduce the likelihood of being involved in an incident on the road. This driving qualification has been developed specifically for the international market.

2. Behavioral Psychometric Assessment + ROSPA Level 2 Award

The ROSPA Level 2 Award in Defensive Driving (International) aims to develop the driver’s knowledge of the causes of work-related driving incidents and provide them with the skills and knowledge to reduce the likelihood of being involved in an incident on the road. This driving qualification has been developed specifically for the international market.

3. Standard Defensive Driving

Delegates will learn to reduce their crash risk by anticipating situations and making safe well-informed decisions, based on road and environmental conditions and the condition of the driver themselves.
